Alaya Resort is one of the 5 stars hotel in Ubud which is the first place to held a flair bartender competition in Ubud, 2018. Even this is the first event, the bartenders are very enthusiastic. There are 27 bartenders who compete, not only Ubudian, also from outside of the island, even one of a contestant from Rusia.
Ubud Viking Flair & Cocktail Challenge 2018 is the second event of ABA (Asian Bartender Association) Indonesia which bring a different concept then previous Flair Bartender competition. The participants challenged to make 2 cocktails creation on limited times, one while they perform a flair attraction, and the other after their perform with mixology concept. “This challenge is given to increase the skill of the bartenders, so they not only focusing on flair move but make good drink with the proper presentation as well” thus Agung Raka the general secretary of ABA Indonesia.

The jury on board is Agung Darmawan (Flair bartender legend), Bayu Hendra (coordinator of Himpunan Bartender Indonesia), Agung Raka (secretary general of ABA Indonesia), Agung Udiana (professional bartender), Rama Swiyoga (professional bartender).
