Flair Bartending is not common for woman, but Ayu Suarniti, a young bartendress proved that woman can compete on flair bartendering world of man. She started her career as bartendress 4 years ago in Bali Moon. She moved to Keraton Jimbaran Beach Resort, then started her abroad career in Le Meridien Dubai and Asado Restaurant Downtown Dubai. Recently working at Salazon Restaurant, Seminyak. The reasons why she became bartendress because she grew up with flair bartending and started practice since she was in high school on 2011 and her first flair recipe was cosmopolitan twist strawberry and egg white. Now started her mixologist career, then make a balance between flair & mixologist as well.
During her career on flair bartending, she joining several national and international competition with woman minority. She was joining STIPAR Flair Competition and Kuta Flair Competition, and mostly won the best female and best of the best. When she was working abroad she joints international competition such as CityMax Competition Dubai, Marina Flair Competition Dubai, Stella World Draught Mater Flair Competiton Dubai and become top 16. Recently she joint National Bartender Competition 2018 and she won green ticket road to Jakarta on 6-9 May 2018. She used to join Mixologist competition in Tequilla Bar and it was the combination of flair and mixology, she mentions it as the most challenging competition. When she started her career in Dubai, she learned about mixology with basic and simple ingredients, then when she back to Bali she improves herself with the variant ingredients.
Beside of bartending, Ayu also interesting with multimedia and she was studying graphic design, but her passion is behind the bar. In her sphere times, she likes to persuade her hobbies in photography, video making and music editing. She found her interest in Mojito as her favorite drink because she gets all the taste of it. She gives us a moral lesson “If you win, you will be a legend and if you are lose, don’t quit.
