ABA held their premiere event in 2018 “Viking Road to The Master World Bartending Championship 2018”, the event held on the 23-24 February in Rosso Vivo Dine & Lounge Kuta. The first day is mixology competition, there 15 contestants who had competed on this event and I Gede Adijaya a.k.a De Bean is the first winner with his cocktails recipe “Sandikala” he presented this cocktails are inspired from the time word (sang kala) based on Hinduism beliefs is about the time transition with their own spiritual value. The second day is flair bartending competition, there 17 contestants and the first winner is I Wayan Eka Darmawan with his attractive and fascinate flair attraction. The winner from both categories will represent Indonesia for World Championship in Phuket Thailand and also the winner gets the prize the ticket & accommodation.
On the first day winner is I Gede Adijaya (Maya Resort & Spa), here is another winner in the 2nd and 3rd place:
• Bacudewa Krisna (Ayana Resort & SPA) with 2nd place and get money cash prize Rp. 1.500.000,-.
• Dwi Cahyadi Putrantha (Hardrock Hotel Bali) with 3rd place and get money cash prize Rp. 1.000.000,-
On the second day winner is I Wayan Eka Darmawan (Flair Forever Bali), here is another winner in the 2nd and 3rd place:
• I Gede Aldi Suardana (Azul beach club) with 2nd place and get money cash prize Rp. 1.500.000,-.
• I Nengah Joly Artawan (STP Bali) with 3rd place and get money cash prize Rp. 1.000.000,-
After two days Viking Road to The Master World Bartending Championship 2018, Agung Yoga as ABA Indonesia President delivered his statement “From this event, I hope the winner from both categories Mixologist and Flair will be the winner of International Competition, because I’m very optimist both of winner has the champion criteria and also they are ready to compete for International Competition”.
