Jakarta Bartender Club as main organization for Jakarta’s bartender gives an open space to all the bartenders to stimulate creativity, develop individual ability, and give change to catch the higher level by held Cocktail and Flair Challenge 2018.
The competition divided into two categories, there are Mixology and Flair, these two categories held in two days, April 24th – 25th 2018 in two different places. The first day is mixology category held in The Hook Resto & Bar, meanwhile in the second day, Flair category held in Cilandak Town Square, Jakarta.
Wawan “Onimusa” Kurniawan as the head of JBC said that, “Cocktail and Flair Challenge 2018 is competition and national selection for young bartenders send to represent Indonesia for World Bartender Championship – Singapore in May.”
He continued that this competition seeks only four bartenders for two categories, there are two for Mixology category and two for Flair category. For Flair category prepared three tickets, two for the winners and the other for Asanova Lawalata because he wins the last championship.
The competition gives us four bartenders that will represent Indonesia in Singapore’s competition on May 7th, they are :
Mixology
- Hydier Sas, Palu
- Rizky Sanjaya, Jakarta
Flair
- I Wayan Eka Darmawan, Bali
- Aldi Suardana, Bali
Besides the winner above, there will be one “bonus” bartenders: Asa Nova Lawalata who get the invitation to be in Singapore’s competition for Flair category. So Indonesia will represent 5 bartenders for Singapore’s competition in May.
