The bar team concepted their main ingredients of Indonesian Botanicals; Turmeric, Cardamon, Ginger, Clove, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Exotic Fruits – (pineapple, durian, mango, banana, mangosteen, snakefruit) Tamarind, Lemongrass,  Coffee, Tea, Citrus – Orange Lemon Lime, Rosemary, Thyme, Forest Peppers, Black Pepper, Chilli, Fennel, Licorice, Sea Salt, Coconut, Nutmeg, Kaffir Lime Leaves, Pandan Leaves, Cumin, Aromatic Ginger, Bay Leaf.

A visit to Gin 1717 is therefore not merely a stop at a “gin bar”, because Gin1717 has GINLAB at its heart, led by the mysterious BOTANICAL MAN to ensure premium gin is handcrafted into quality infusions. The establishment provides a comprehensive GIN based experience that accommodates regular patrons and gin enthusiasts alike, with infusion “gin-tasting” sessions held on a regular basis.

GINLAB @ GIN1717 highlights the unique features of Indonesian botanicals and puts a modern twist on herb & spice infused gin. In one memorable infusion, GREEN CHILLI & LIME are steeped to bring out sweet citrus oils and sharp peppery flavors, while in another, star anise, orange zest, and cinnamon blend teases the taste buds with a mélange of tangy and spicy characters reminiscent of CHINESE 5 SPICE. In an infusion named ISLAND BLEND, a collection of Bali’s classic botanicals is brought together in a wonderful aromatic infusion with highly complex spice notes.

Guests are invited to enjoy the gin infusions in a 40ml-shot or in a tasting set of three infusions of choice. Fifteen selections of infusions are available in addition to Gin and Tonic pairings and signature cocktails. The more adventurous cocktail enthusiasts might opt for the experimental signature cocktails: contemporary spins on traditional cocktails that blend tropical fruits, botanicals, homemade syrups and other liquors in unique creations.

SUMMER BREEZE mixes vanilla-infused gin with raspberries, sweet vermouth and homemade cinnamon syrup, complementing the sweetness of vermouth with warm vanilla and tart raspberries. The beautiful KINTAMANI is a contrast of zesty and spicy notes, with fresh Kintamani oranges and lemon juice blended with wild ginger. A unique creation with ingredients native to Indonesia, JEGEG BALI bursts with the freshness of locally grown longan and rosella, mixed with a dash of Southern Comfort is a harmonious balance of sweet and citrusy flavors.

Not only tasting breathtaking flavour of Infused Gin, guests can experience Live Jazz music every Thursday and Sunday with a beautiful music melody from Yuri Mahatma Jazz Quartet (Co-Founder Ubud Jazz Festival) and Antoine Quartet.
