Starting the 2019’s, ABA (Asian Bartender Association) Indonesia held a competition “Indonesia Road to the Master Thailand” On 21 and February 22, 2019 in the Sweets Restaurant, Alaya Resort Ubud. This competition is the selection made by the ABA Indonesia each year to select the Indonesia’s bartender to be sent to Thailand to participate in The Master World Bartending Championship 2019. There are 2 categories in the competition, they are: flair and mixology. Agung Yoga as President of ABA Indonesia said “Through this selection we believe that the winners in this competition is the best representative to carry the name of Indonesia in the world championship of The Master that will take place in Phuket later on March 2019”
As a prestigious event in Indonesia, the bartenders were very enthusiastic to participate in this competition. There are 21 participants in the category of mixology and 17 participants in the flair category in which they came from the best bartender sent by the Hotel, Bar and restaurant where they work. The judges are recognized professional bartender who have expertise in the Food & Beverage industry and is a member of the ABA and HBI (Bartender Association of Indonesia).

Flair category
Champion: I Wayan Eka Darmawan (Flair Forever)
2nd Place: Aldi Suardana (Azul Beach Club)
3rd Place: Candra Pratama (Ku De Ta)
Agung Yoga advised for the winner “To the representative of Indonesia, provide the best because you still have less than three weeks to prepare everything, Good in the flair category or the time remaining mixology. Make sure to maximized your exercise and make sure everything in the maximum stage so that when the next competition of the representatives of Indonesia at 100% ready. ”
