Glorious Indonesian Bartender in Macau

Koco Widyatno is Indonesian Bartender who pursues his bartender careers in overseas, he started 5 years ago in Address Downtown, Dubai then he moved to Asia-Asia Restaurant Dubai and until now he’s working in The Ritz Carlton Macau. The reasons why he becomes a bartender because he really passionate into it, he already worked in several field jobs but he doesn’t feel comfortable with it and he found his called on bartending world. He thinks if bartending jobs is about art and satisfaction, when we served cocktails not just about drunk but also showed about the techniques, steps, patterns, and so on. Then satisfaction when he serviced the guest and they felt happy also understand about the flavor of his creation drink, also when he pairing with a good brand. Recently he had take over bartender to represent Giffard syrups in Frestro & Bar Bali on their special event Cotton Club Vol. 3 with David Hans as Giffard ambassador with his recipe Pink Cadillac and Mama low.

He joint several competition in international scale and also worldwide tour with the brand, such as Herno gin from Sweden, Bacardi legacy, Chivas Master, and so on, with those experience made he gets more confident, more link & connection and new knowledge. Most likely he had competition in Dubai, Hongkong, Macau and his next competition is in Sweden around August and Ireland. He won one of a championship to create Irish whisky and he will represent to Ireland on this July. He said about the challenge here, because he is not only competing with people from Indonesia but also he should compete with people around the world. He needs to prepared from language, how to explain in English and also the ingredients. He gives a moral lesson for bartender/bartendress to keep experiment and try new techniques, new ingredients, new trends. Also needs creativity, patient, and open-minded.
