In February 26th, HBI celebrate their 1st anniversary. Event that held in the relaxed atmosphere under garden party theme, invite people of FnB, such as BCC, ICA, alcohol products, syrup, juice, and bartender comunities around Bali. Many entertaintments participate in the event, such as live music, DJ, Flair Show and door price raffle. Series of the celebration started with pray and soul cleansing in the Pura Dalem Pengembak, in Sanur february 23rd, followed by all the board and members of HBI.
In this occasion, HBI want to realized its dream to embrace bartenders around Indonesia, especially in Bali as a start. Bayu Hendra as the head of HBI said that, “In our 1st anniversary, we hope that in the future we can be an umbrella for the bartenders around Indonesia to give shape the hope of the government, that is give birth for the high quality human resources so they could compete whether in Indonesia or abroad. We are not alone in make it real, we are supported by ABA (Asia Bartenders Association) and LMC (Local Manager Collective) as our partner association who have the same vision and mission and always colaborate in every event we held.”
In this occasion HBI give building fund for the winner of the Indonesia Road to The Master World Bartending Championship 2019 that held by ABA Indonesia. The winner will represent Indonesia to compete in Thailand. “I hope the representative of Indonesia will be able to bring the trophy home. We hope that government take their act, considering that Indonesia’s bartenders especially Bali have a skill above average, and they compete in international level. If they use their own money, I think its pretty hard for the bartenders” said Bayu Hendra when give the fund
