Cotton Club is coming back. Frestro & Bar held their regular event Cotton Club every Saturday night. Last Saturday nite, 26 May 2018, cotton club series 8 was a special edition of bartender taken over by Nikkei Invasion theme, sponsored by Giffard syrups and Nusa Cana rum. Andrew Lugiman as Nusa Cana Indonesia representation as guest bartender for this event.
Nikkei arrived from Japanese world of mixed culture, and this week Nikkei Invasion theme is about mixed culture between Indonesia x Japan. Andrew Lugiman said that in Jakarta, Japanese concept is a happening theme and he combined that with Indonesian ingredients. He served 4 cocktails based on Nusa Cana rum and 2 of menu pairing with Giffard syrups, the first menu is Nikkei Mantra with Giffard Orgeat, Infused Champaca, Yuzu (Japanese lemonade), Spice. The second recipe is Tiger’s milk mule with ingredients Giffard Vanilla, Tiger’s Milk as Peruvian spice, Mint, Ginger, third recipe is Dezato it means Japanese dessert with ingredients Pandan mix Sake, Coconut, Pastis, Half and Half, Soda. The last recipe is Nikkei Fashioned with one of anti-mainstream ingredients that is masoji and it has unique characteristic, but not many people knew that, because its only grew in Papua or Eastern Indonesia, then another ingredients is wasabi, matcha and bitters.
